2020 SUPERHERO RUN IMPORTANT RACE ANNOUNCEMENT

We at Madox’s Warriors have made the difficult, but important decision to convert our entire event to a VIRTUAL RACE. 

This decision comes due to the current Covid-19 pandemic regulations in place by Health Canada and the Manitoba Government. The guidelines in place for group gatherings make a race of our size too large. Our first concern is the health and well being of all our friends, families and supporters.

WHAT TO KNOW

IF YOU HAVE ALREADY REGISTERED FOR THE EVENT

All participants who have already registered for the event, will still receive their race kit consisting of a t-shirt (registrants prior to Jul 31), custom race bib and medal.

IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO REGISTER FOR THE EVENT

If you wish to register for the event, you still can. The virtual event option is still open for registration. All participants registering August 1 up until September 4 will receive a custom race bib and medal.

As a charity, since we have already paid suppliers for the event, we will not be offering refunds. As mentioned, all participants already registered will still receive the race kit with appropriate race gear. We hope all participants understand this decision and still participate in the virtual event.

 

What is a Virtual race?

A virtual race is an event that anyone can participate in by doing the walk or run on their own or in a small group (following physical distancing guidelines). We will be mailing the race kits to all registrants who have signed up for the event.

As our race is scheduled for September 12, we encourage all participants to still complete the event on that day, however, the choice of when you complete it is up to you. We just ask you to share a photo of yourself during or after completing your leg of the virtual walk/run. We would love to see everyone outdoors participating with us. Please share your pictures and videos of your virtual runs on social media pages, tagging Madox’s Warriors Foundation (@madoxswarriors) and include hashtags #madoxswarriors and #superherorun2020
